Kolkata, By Samridha & clicked by Soumik : Homegrown Aroush Tagore overcame a two stroke overnight deficit to top off a brilliant come-from-behind win at the Milky Moo RCGC Challenge, the fourth leg of the Milky Moo Championship – IGU East Zone Feeder & Sub Junior Tour, here at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club. He shot a two day total of 159.
Pinku Das also moved up a slot to finish second overall but clinch the Category B title after carding 165 leaving the overnight leader Ramayush Ray trailing by two strokes at 167. Ramayush shot a disappointing second round 88 to fall off the reckoning very early in the round having gone double bogey – triple bogey on the second and third holes. Manv Bansal and Anish Rajak completed the top five after carding 171 & 172 respectively.
Category C was won by Prasidh Dhandhania with a two day total of 185 followed by Kabir Mehta two strokes behind in second place. Rishi Biswas completed the podium positions after carding 189.
Ribhav Verma of Siliguri trumped the local competition as he stretched his overnight three-stroke lead to an eventual seven-stroke win carding 163. Anshul Mishra took the runners up spot at 170 while Aditya Khaitan finished third one stroke behind in third place.
Varish Mohta completed the Category E title win with an assured five over 41 final round to finish fourteen strokes ahead of second placed Hredaan Raj Bihani. Varish carded a two round 87.
Amongst the Girls, Yaalisai Verma of Siliguri won the Category A&B combined title with Anwesha Das winning the Category B event. Karishma Samadder strolled to the Category C title while Anaahat Bindra won the Category D event. Category E was won by Samaira Chitallangia after finishing top in the open category.
