Prince of Kolkata and India’s Cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly extended his best wishes to his wife Odissi Guru Dona Ganguly and tabla virtuoso Pdt Prodyut Mukherjee for Fusion project Rhythmxpress MOODS II. This was on the occasion of the completion of fusion project Rhythmxpress MOODS II. The unique part of the fusion album is the collaboration of the two of the most brilliant creative talents of the Nation, Dona Ganguly and Prodyut Mukherjee. Prodyut, having won the GIMA AWARD in 2016, is a raging sensation in the fusion music scenario in India.
The notable feature of the album is that the music has been composed by the highly respected musical doyen Padma Bhushan Pdt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, who had shared the GIMA 2016 with Prodyut Mukherjee for MOODS.
This collaboration is Percussionist Pdt Prodyut Mukherjee’s attempt to make Indian music popular among masses both in India and the West through fusion and draw a synergy between his musical notes and with the rhythms of dance patterns and as Odissi Guru Dona Ganguly felt that this was a new form of experiment for her and expressed immense satisfaction at the final outcome in the project. Mukherjee was all praise for the Odissi Guru and felt that very few danseuses have such levels of perfection
Sourav Ganguly, affectionately Dada to most, was elated to give his wishes and greetings for the success of the album and fondly recollected his meeting Prodyut Mukherjee ( whom he referred to as Dada) through Dona Ganguly.
