Her festive collection of 2017 named “Lino” is dedicated to men and women’s wear where the brand highlights that austere and architecturally precise aesthetic that can look stylish even during festive season. The ace designer Debosree Das launched her this year’s new collection in the glamorous presence Popular Actress Rachna Banerjee, Model Nicola Gomes, Singer Jojo & Raghab Chatterjee along with Ms. Proma Das, Principal, Calcutta Public School at her store located at P-239/2, Hindustan Park, Gariahat, Kolkata- 700029.
The special festive collection by the designer has derived its inspiration from the environment. India being a humid country, Debosree Das has meticulously designed her collection with knitted, hand woven yarns on cotton, silk net and linen which helps the clothes to breathe.She also pointed out that by changing the clothes shapes and silhouettes promptly, the pieces adapt to different purposes and weather conditions, which cannot be overestimated in modern reality’s overwhelming rhythm.
The assemblage by Debosree Das is mostly everyday wardrobe that every individual can wear without any fuss or feeling uncomfortable. The target audience for her recent collection is mostly professional but she caters to all age groups.
Speaking on the occasion, the designer said, “I believe that we design clothes to cover a human’s soul! So belonging from a humid nation, I believe it is extremely necessary for our clothes to breathe properly. The clothes that one wears should be a representation of his or hers individual personality or psyche. We cater to all age groups, shapes and sizes. I believe in affordable fashion, and do not cater to any particular niche. We hope that the designs are appreciated the people and it meets their requirements.”
Debosree Das has something new and creative up her sleeve for this year’s Durga Puja. And this time she has come up with a unique and extraordinary collection of Indo-western including Dresses, Palazzos, Skirts, Kurtas, Capes, Lehenga, Sarees and many more drapes and styles. The price range of her collection starts from Rs. 2000 and goes up till Rs. 40,000. The outfits are adorned with hand woven yarns on cotton and linen. The designer highlighted that the main reason for her to launch the collection during Durga Puja because it is the grand occasion for the people of Bengal where they have a reason to be joyous and shop to till their extreme desire and merriment.
The colors that will dominate this year’s festive ensemble are the shades of Ombre, Pastels, Earthy shades and tones of burnt red and orange. The designs are embellished with pearls, silk, thread, artificial Swarovski etc. The vast range of dress materials and saris that are available there involve minimalistic and earthy prints have proliferated across the world of fashion, in both traditional and modern interpretations.
