By Mahiyan Chakrabarti:- Director Reshmi Mitra has come up with her new Bengali feature film “HOTHAT DEKHA”, an Indo- Bangladesh joint venture which has been created with the essence from the poem “Hothat Dekha” by Rabindranath Tagore.
Produced by Impress Telefilms Ltd. (Bangladesh), Bidyut Das and Reshmi Pictures (India), the movie stars Debasree Roy, Shankar Chakrabarti, Tulika Basu, Partha Sarathy Deb, Premankur Chakrabarti, Shyamal Bhattacharya, Avik Ghosh, Kartick Das Baul and newcomer Deep from India and Ilias Kanchan, Munia Yusuf Mimi, Azhar, and J.S.Himi from Bangladesh.
In an impromptu conversation at Oberoi Grand Kolkata, both Director Reshmi Mitra and Debasree Roy went down memory lane by sharing their memorable shooting experiences in Bangladesh. They also mentioned that this kind of co-production between the two Bengal will help both the countries to have a larger market, as they share the same culture and Bengali as their language. HOTHAT DAKHA is scheduled to hit the screen on 31st March.
