Kolkata, 11th January 2017: On Wednesday evening, upcoming Bengali singer Arnab Basu launched his latest album “Canvas jure Swapneel” at the Kolkata Press Club. Music Composer Debojyoti Mishra and writer Ranjan Bandopdhyay graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The album was presented by Artage Music.
The album consists of eight Bangla adhunik songs by Arnab Basu and the lyrics and music has been done by Rajdeep Ganguly and singer Arrab himself. All the songs are of different moods and themes and distinct from one another. Arnab’s musical journey started way back during his childhood when at a very young age, he, started receiving formal training in music.
Having received training in Rabindra Sangeet from Shri Gautam Baran Adhikary, Hindustani Classical Music from Pandit Santanu Bandyopadhyay and Contemporary music from Shri Abhijit Bandyopadhyay, he commenced his professional career in music in 2009. Since then. he performed in various prestigious concerts all over in Bengal alongside some of the most renowned singers – both from Kolkata and Mumbai. He already has several music albums to his own credit with one of them titled “MON” which has fetched him the Idea Big Bangla Music Award for the best Tagore songs album for the year 2009. “I take inspiration from the journey of our lives and make tunes accordingly and ultimately convert them into a complete musical album”, said Amab Basu.
