Shri Subrata Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister, Panchayats & Rural Development, Government of West Bengal flagged off the coveted fourth edition of Ward 68 Yuva Utsav 2019 today to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Also present on the occasion were Shri Sambaran Banerjee, Former Cricketer & Selector, Indian Cricket Team and Ms Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor, KMC along with other dignitaries.
The ‘Prabhat Feri’ was flagged off by Dr. Sanjay Chattopadhyay, Sheriff of Kolkata .
“In line with the preaching of Swami Vivekananda, all sections of the society starting from the downtrodden and underprivileged to the affluent are to be brought under one umbrella in Ward 68 till Swamiji’s vaani of ‘Awake, Arise and Stop not till the goal is reached’ has been attained”, said Smt Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor, KMC.
A host of activities will be organised throughout the two day long Yuva Utsav. This includes ward marathon, prabhat feri, street art festival, fun events like musical chair, sit and draw competition, ‘Droupadir Rannaghar’- an innovative cooking competition, free health check-up camp, body building show, cricket championship and cultural programmes in the evening.
