Webdesk: –Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal (APAI) announced its three day long India’s Largest Education Exhibition , pre- counseling Fair and Seminar at the Peerless Inn today. The conference was chaired by Shri Taranjit Singh, the President of Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal and Shri Satyam Roy Chowdhury, General Secretary of Association of Professional Academic Institutions in the presence of Shri Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and members of Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal (APAI) governing body.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Taranjit Singh, the President of Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal said, “Our main focus is to produce the maximum number of engineers, mechanical experts and management executives in different disciplines suited for the various industries primarily in West Bengal thereby placing our state as one of the leaders in the educational field of the country.”
The conference highlighted the steps taken by the Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal (APAI) to bridge the gap that exists between the academic institutions and the industry. It also touched upon the aim of the council to motivate and guide students to remain in West Bengal and pursue their higher course of education.
The APAI Fair will commence from 9th June and will go ontill 12th June at the Netaji Indoor Stadium. The largest education exhibit of the state will mirror the scope of engineering and technical education by holding workshops and sessions with the top Colleges and Universities of West Bengal. APAI aims to provide education with the touch of innovation that would create leaders of the nation. The exposition is supported by Higher Education Dept, Govt of West Bengal, Maulana Abul Kalam Aza
All the self financing engineering and technology colleges who are the members of APAI will be seen participating in this exposition.

APAI is the sole representatives of all the self financed Engineering & Technological institutions in West Bengal. APAI’s main activities are regular interactions with the four different authorities viz. AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education),West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board(WBJEEB), MAKAUTand Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Starting from affiliation of a College, introduction of new courses(s), fee structure per student, free & half-free studentship etc. and all other related matters are negotiated with these authorities from time to time.
