There is no mystery in safety and security. And so was the call of The FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), an exclusive women’s wing of the prestigious national organization FICCI, today where they organized a special session ‘Face to Face’ with Kolkata Police governing on the most burning topic i.e. Women Safety & Security, Human Trafficking and Drug Abuse, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister for Women Development, Social Welfare & Child Development, Government of West Bengal; Mr. Vishal Garg, Joint Commissioner, Crime. Kolkata ; along with Smt. Neeloo Sherpa Chakraborty, DO(II); Sri. Neelkantha Roy, Inspector of Police Kolkata, Additional Officer-In-Charge, Anti Bank Fraud: Sri. Premjeet Chowdhury, Additional Officer-In-Charge, Cyber P.S; Smt. Joyeeta Biswas, IPS, DC, Wireless and Mr. Ranjan Mitter, Regional Advisory Committee of the ICCR Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. FICCI FLO Chairperson, Ms. Anupama Sureka was also present to address the media, at The Great Ballroom, The Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkata.
The session focuset on the most clamant topic of today, as we all know that even today when the world proclaims to be the safe place with less of crime and violence, the question of Women Safety, Security is still a big question to be answered. Along with human trafficking, i.e. the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one country or area to another, for the purposes of forced labour or commercial sexual exploitation and Drug Abuse, i.e the habitual taking of illegal drugs are still the sessions of concern which need to be cured in order to make our Country a better place to live inn.
Ms. Anupama Sureka, Chairperson of FICCI FLO, Kolkata Chapter while commenting on the session said, ‘Face-to Face. was indeed a special session and I am sure it evaluated the pros and cons of safety, which can be followed in order to get rid of Human Trafficking and Drug Abuse and also to ensure Women safety and security at a higher level. To protect our kids, we’ve given law enforcement new tools to fight human trafficking. Hence, I would request all of you to please spread the valuable information that we came across in order to ensure safety and well being of all. as joining hands together would make our Country a safer place to be inn.
