Husband is busy repairing the door lock even after seeing his wife in a bloody state! Mysterious death of housewife in Maheshtala

#Maheshtala: The bloodied housewife’s body was recovered from a four-storey closed house of a multi-storey house in Jal Kal area under Maheshtala police station in South 24 Parganas.

The bloody body was recovered from room D-406 on the fourth floor of the residence in Maheshtala and sent by Maheshtala police for autopsy. Debayan Karmakar has been detained by the Maheshtala police for questioning due to inconsistencies in his speech. On the other hand, no complaint was lodged by Nandita’s family till late at night at Maheshtala police station.

According to Debayan, the door was locked from the inside when he arrived at his residence in Maheshtala from his Khidirpur home around 12 noon on Friday. So he broke the lock and went inside without informing the security guard of the house. He went inside and saw his wife in a bloody state, but he thought it was more important to call a mechanic and fix the lock. Then he panicked and went back to his house in Khidirpur with the new key of the house, without informing the police and Nandita’s family. On the other hand, the arrival and departure time of Debayan Karmakar is not found in the register book of that accommodation. Maheshtala police are investigating the incident.

As it is known, in 2019, Debayan Karmakar, a 42-year-old taxi driver from Khidirpur, got married to Nandita Bhattacharya, a 43-year-old resident of Accra in Maheshtala. Talk to Debayan about getting in a taxi. It is pertinent to note that these two were previously married. Nandita Bhattacharya’s first husband lives in Delhi. He did not have any contact with his wife. On the other hand, Debayan Karmakar’s first wife got divorced in 2012. She also has a two-year-old son.
