The pace of the coal investigation is moving in the direction of many businessmen and the names of big and small officials of the police administration. They are linked to the main accused Anup Majhi alias Lala. They also kept in touch with Binoy Mishra, a youth leader of the returning Trinamool. According to CBI sources, Lala had close contact with Amit. Amit’s company used to buy coal through saliva for business reasons. Several police personnel, including the former IC of Andal police station, assisted in this. The two have been summoned to clear up the whole matter. Today they are going to face the CBI.
Earlier, several police officers were also interrogated. Besides the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate is also investigating financial corruption in the coal scandal.
