Merlin Group Announces celebration of Bengali tradition “Mone Prane Bangali” to usher in Bengali New Year

Bengali New Year heralds an auspicious beginning of a year full of hope, prosperity and splendour in Kolkata. However, the pandemic has brought in a paradigm shift in the way of living since last year. Still we would like to usher the year in its true spirit. Taking cue from this, Merlin Group has paved the way for the Bengali New Year celebration with the live show of ace singer Rupankar on Merlin’s official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MERLINGROUP/ ) on 17th April ,2021 at 6 pm and across all social media platform of the group. To add spice to it, Merlin Group has also announced a flurry of online contests for its valued consumers to add to the ambience of the celebration.

 

The theme of the contests is woven around the quintessential Bengali culture and tradition. The contests include categories like Dance, Poetry, Songs and Bengali Fashion Fiesta where participants have to post their 1 minute dance video on Bengali song, or sing 1 minute Bengali song and post on their facebook pages with #MERLIN1428. In the Poetry category they have to post a verse and post on their Facebook pages with #MERLIN1428. The last but the not the least category is the Bengali fashion fiesta where participants have to post a picture in Bengali attire on their FACEBOOK PAGE with #MERLIN1428. A contestant can participate in any four categories only once. The winners of the competition will be selected on the basis of maximum LIKES maintaining the fairness of the competition. The decision of the jury from MERLIN GROUP in this regard will be final.

 

The competitions have started from 7th APRIL 2021 and will continue till 15th APRIL 2021 midnight. There are attractive prizes for the winners of the competition. With one final winner in each category, there will be 10 winners and one will get the best of the best. That would be MERLIN GROUP’s”Mone Prane Bangali”.

 

Speaking on the initiative, Shri Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group said, “Bengali New year is the time to rejoice in the festive spirit with grandeur. Paila Baiskah rekindles the remembrance of the traditional Bengali culture, music and quntiessential Bengali delicacies. However, the pandemic has restricted our movement and mingling physically, hence we at Merlin Group have planned to usher in the Bengali new year online with all irrespective of any caste, creed and religion. Here anyone who respects Bengali culture can participate in Mone Prane Bangali – which is apt for anyone who is Bengali in mind and spirit”.
