#Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding immediate increase and regularity of Covid 19 vaccine to control the Coronavirus situation in the state. At the same time, the Chief Minister demanded immediate increase in the supply of two important drugs for the treatment of corona. Besides, Mamata Banerjee has requested the Prime Minister to look into the matter so that there is no problem in the supply of oxygen.

In the letter, the chief minister alleged that he had written to the prime minister on February 24 seeking permission to administer the vaccine directly through the state government. But that permission has not been matched yet However, the number of vaccines provided by the central government is insufficient and the supply is irregular As a result, even though the state has taken a leading role, the pace of vaccination is slowing down “In densely populated areas like Kolkata, it is very important to carry out immunization at a fast rate and according to a specific plan,” the chief minister wrote in the letter. But the supply of vaccines by the central government is inadequate and irregular This is having a negative impact on our state’s immunization program We need to vaccinate another 26 million people, for which 54 million doses of vaccine are needed. I urge you to intervene immediately so that the state can get the required number of vaccines. “

The chief minister further alleged that the state was also facing a crisis in the two drugs needed for the treatment of corona, remedicivir and toxilizumab. The daily state needs 6,000 vials of REMDCV and 1,000 vials of Tosilizumar. There, at the moment, the state has only 1,000 vials of remedicivir And Tosilizuma is not being re-supplied The Chief Minister also requested the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to start the supply of these two drugs immediately.

Finally, Mamata Banerjee said that at the moment, the state-owned Cell is providing regular oxygen to the state. The Chief Minister also requested the Prime Minister to ensure that this supply continues At the same time, he said, the state government was using all its infrastructure to help control the Corona epidemic.
