#Kolkata: The Corona Second Wave is hitting hard in India. The whole country is now in a picture of panic. There are no hospital beds, most states do not have enough oxygen to give corona sufferers. Pictures of the plight of helpless people in different parts of the country due to the severe oxygen crisis are coming to the fore every day. West Bengal is not out of this situation. Although a severe oxygen crisis has not yet been created in the state, many experts fear that the situation will become similar in the near future in the same way that the outbreak is happening in Bengal. And from that guess, the Chief Secretary of the state Alapan Bandyopadhyay sent a letter to the Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan about oxygen on Friday.

According to the letter, the state is currently receiving 200 metric tons of oxygen. But demand is growing fast. And the state has allocated 450 metric tons of oxygen. In this situation the oxygen allocated for the health sector of the state should not be moved anywhere. That is, it is not given to any other state.

But why is the state government afraid to give oxygen to other states? Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has revealed the matter on this day. In a virtual meeting from Durgapur on the same day, Mamata made a serious complaint and said, ‘The center is taking Bengal’s oxygen supply chain’ Cell ‘to Uttar Pradesh. He wants to kill Bengal with rice. So it is not giving oxygen. After that, the letter of the Chief Secretary of the State to the Central Health Secretary is considered to be of special significance by the political circles.

However, Mamata said in a tone of fear about the oxygen situation in the state, “We have taken all the industrial oxygen in the state. Oxygen used in industry will be used for health this time. At the moment we have 20,000 cylinders in stock. Mamata also made explosive allegations about the vaccine. “Gujarat got 70 per cent vaccine but other states got about 15 per cent,” he said. The party is giving injections from the office in Gujarat. However, the state BJP has dismissed Mamata’s allegations.
