‘Wait, I’ll tell you everything!’ After the oath, the ‘other’ tune is in Mukul’s throat

#Kolkata: After a long time, he got success by going to the polls. But the whole party in the state has practically collapsed. As a result, Mukul Roy is now the Leader of the Opposition. He himself was not in doubt about his victory in Krishnanagar North Center. In fact, Mukul lost to Trinamool candidate actress Kaushani Mukherjee and got the first personal vote in the assembly polls. But even that victory did not satisfy him. Many people think that Mukul’s dissatisfaction with the team is more than the grief of losing. That arrogance seemed to be captured even at the swearing-in ceremony.

Mukul came to the assembly on Friday. He was in the assembly from 12.04 to 12.25. Mukul was completely ‘silent’ except for a short time of swearing. When asked by the media, he said, ‘I will not say anything today. I will call everyone on the day I say it. ‘ After that, the BJP’s all-India co-president left the assembly with folded hands.

And this ‘silence’ of Mukul has raised questions in the political circles of the state. There were rumors in the middle of the vote that Mukul was rekindling his old relationship with the grassroots leadership. That possibility took a turn for the worse when Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee herself came up with her name. Going to attack Shuvendu, Mamata said, “Mukul is much better than Shuvendu.” And the practice has started with that ‘good’ bud.

According to sources, Mukul has become increasingly inactive within the BJP. Mukul’s contribution to the BJP’s huge success in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the state was also put at the forefront. This time Mukul was ‘stuck’ in Krishnanagar with a ticket. This time, the BJP’s top central leadership kept Bojha Mukul, an organization from every corner of the state, in a quandary. Very naturally, that arrogance has gradually taken a bigger shape in Mukul’s mind. Is this why Mukul thinks of ‘new’ thoughts? Will Mukul return to the old team again? The atmosphere of the assembly on this day is not ruling out that possibility.

Although a section of BJP MLAs demanded that Mukul be sworn in as Leader of the Opposition as soon as he was sworn in, he did not pay much attention to it. He left the assembly courtesy meeting as he faced Trinamool state president Subrata Bokshi.
