#Kolkata: Tulakalam case in Bengal surrounding the Narad scandal investigation. The new state transport minister Firhad Hakim, panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee, Trinamool MLA Madan Mitra and former mayor Sovan Chatterjee were arrested in the Narad case on Monday morning. And after the arrest of the CBI in the Narad investigation, Narad master Mathew Samuel opened his mouth. He questioned why BJP leader Shuvendu Adhikari was not arrested despite taking money from him.
In Mathew’s words, ‘It took a long time to get Narad Kand’s trial, but in the end, the trial took place. However, even though four people were arrested, Shuvendu Adhikari also took money from me. It was also recorded. Despite that, why was he not arrested? There needs to be the same justice for all. ‘ The same question has arisen around another BJP leader Mukul Roy.
The Trinamool has also demanded the arrest of Shuvendu-Mukul along with allegations of revenge politics against the BJP. According to the CBI, Shuvendu Adhikari and Mukul Roy were MPs at the time of the Narda case. Shuvendu was in the Lok Sabha, and Mukul was in the Rajya Sabha. Therefore, permission of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha is required to arrest them But that permission has not been matched yet That is why no action has been taken against those two leaders
As a rule, in case of arrest of state ministers, legislators have to take permission from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. But in the case of Firhad, Madan’s arrest, that was not done. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar gave approval. “The manner in which Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee have been arrested is completely illegal,” Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee said angrily. The Calcutta High Court asked us if the principal’s permission had been obtained to arrest anyone. There we informed, there is no contact with us. I was not given any letter. This arrest is completely illegal. Regarding the Governor’s approval, he added, “When the High Court asked for the Speaker’s permission, surprisingly the Governor allowed the chargesheet.” But when he did this, I was present as speaker. So the way the governor’s permission was taken without my permission is completely illegal. ‘
However, former BJP state president Rahul Sinha said, “It is a matter for the CBI. There is no BJP in it. The law will follow the law.
