A Delhi-bound Indigo flight was diverted to Lucknow Airport on Tuesday (September 15) after a mid-air emergency, stated the company. The flight, 6E 6504, was travelling from Agartala to DelhiThis prompted the airport did the needful and activated its emergency response protocols.
IndiGo flight 6E6504, with 103 passengers and six crew members on board, landed safely at Lucknow Airport at 6:29 pmEmergency response teams were deployed as a precaution and received the aircraft after the warning was issued.
The pilot took the decision to turn the flight to Lucknow Airport after suspecting a possible fire in the cargo section mid-flight.
The Lucknow airport quickly put its emergency response measures in place, with fire and rescue teams, ambulances, medical staff, security personnel and terminal teams deployed to ensure the aircraft landed safely and passengers and crew received assistance.
