Sapphire Production, today, unveiled the official poster of ‘The Calcutta Files’, a socio-political crime thriller produced by Tapasi Das and directed by Souvik DeyThe film brings together a story of mystery, corruption, justice and resistance, set against the backdrop of contemporary KolkataThe poster offered the first visual glimpse into the world of the film and its central conflict.
The story follows DrAarohi Sen, a young doctor who stood up against corruption and illegal activities within the public healthcare systemHer mysterious murder shook the city and led to an investigation by Crime Branch officer Aditya Burman and his colleague Chayan BanerjeeAs the investigation moved forward, Aditya uncovered a deeper connection between crime, political influence and conspiracyAlongside his search for the truth, Aarohi’s mother continued her fight for justice, refusing to let her daughter’s death go unansweredThe film brought together the parallel struggles of an officer determined to uncover the truth and a mother seeking justice for her daughter.
The film stars Gourab Roy Chowdhury as Rittik, Rajatava Dutta as Aditya Burman, Payel Das as Aarohi Sen, Chandan Sen as Police Officer Chayan Banerjee, Laboni Sarkar as Sarmistha, Sudip Mukherjee as a Doctor, Swagata Mukherjee as Chief Minister Susmita, Anindya Pulak in a special character and Judhajit Sarkar as Debraj Bhattacharya.

The film’s screenplay has been written by Souvik Dey, Arnab Bhoumik and Abhisekh Bhattacharyya, the music composed by Dev Sen and Pratik KunduSuman Majhi and Ritayan Roy are the Directors of Photography, while Suman Giri is the Associate Director and Sourav Singha, the Chief Assistant DirectorAnuka is the Costume Designer, and Abhishek Bhattacharyya has Edited the film.
The poster launch marked the beginning of the film’s promotional journey, giving audiences a first look at the characters, visual world and themes that shaped ‘The Calcutta Files’.
