AAPACN 2026 Conference Brings National Nursing Leaders Together to Strengthen the Future of Post-Acute Care

Record number of post-acute care professionals convene to innovate and identify solutions for industry’s most pressing challenges

ORLANDO, Fla., March 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hundreds of post-acute care nurses and leaders come together this week in Orlando for the 2026 American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) Conference as nursing homes and post-acute care providers navigate federal regulations and growing demand for complex patient care. Clinical leaders, nurse managers, MDS coordinators and administrators from skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities across the country will meet at the annual conference to share strategies for improving patient-centered quality care.

This year’s event will focus on equipping attendees with practical tools and strategies to address some of the most urgent challenges facing the sector. Through breakout sessions and panel discussions featuring well-known industry experts, attendees will learn strategies to prepare for regulatory changes, improve clinical outcomes and advance leadership in post-acute care.

“At a time when post-acute providers are being asked to do more with fewer resources, nurses are leading many of the solutions,” said Tracey Moorhead, CEO of AAPACN. “This conference brings together the professionals who are driving innovation in post-acute care every day.”

The event will also recognize outstanding professionals through the AAPACN Awards for Post-Acute Care Professionals and highlight emerging leaders through the AAPACN Education Foundation scholarship program, which supports nurses pursuing advanced education in long-term and post-acute care. During the conference, AAPACN is raising funds to support future scholarships and continue investing in the next generation of post-acute care nursing leaders.

AAPACN represents more than 18,000 nurses and leaders working in over 6,100 post-acute care facilities nationwide, making it one of the largest professional communities focused on advancing clinical leadership and care quality across the post-acute care ecosystem.

The conference is taking place March 17-20, 2026 in Orlando, Florida. For more information about AAPACN and its programs, visit https://www.aapacn.org/
