This comes after the death of the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) leader Ajit Pawar on Wednesday near Baramati Airport in a plane crash. She’s the wife of the deceased Deputy CM, Ajit Pawar, who passed away in an unfortunate incident. The decision to make her the Deputy CM was taken by the senior leaders of the party.

In the latest Maharashtra news, the wife of Ajit Pawar takes an oath today, i.e., January 31, before which the NCP legislators had a meeting at the Vidhan Sabha in Mumbai to select her as the Deputy Chief Minister unanimously. This also makes her the first woman Deputy CM of the state.
