NASA’s 600-kilogram satellite is anticipated to crash back to Earth today. For the last 14 years, it has been orbiting the Earth; however, it was originally designed to operate for 2-3 years. The satellite can be described as a 1,323-pound (600-kilogram) Van Allen Probe A, according to the Space.com report. The satellite, named Van Allen Probe A and its twin probe Van Allen Probe B, were launched in August 2012; Both satellites studied the radiation around Earth.
