Kiev: Confusion has been created over the hijacking of a Ukrainian plane in Kabul News spread around the world on Tuesday that a group of unidentified miscreants had hijacked a Ukrainian passenger plane and flown it to Iran. Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Yenin also told the media that the news was true. But later, the country’s foreign ministry said, “No Ukrainian plane has been hijacked in Kabul or anywhere else. The information or pictures of the hijacked aircraft that are being circulated in the media do not match any of the aircraft in reality.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko told AFP. He added that two passengers and an Air Force plane had left the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, for Kabul. From there, the planes returned safely with a total of 256 passengers
