# Amit Sarkar, Kolkata: Kunal Ghosh Bail granted bail in Sarada scam case. A special CBI court on Thursday granted him interim bail. Kunal had applied for bail as the ED had named him in the additional chargesheet.

Kunal appeared in court on Thursday before the ED’s scheduled date of September 20 and sought bail. His lawyer Ayon Chakraborty asked. The ED said there was no further investigation against Kunal. Granting bail of Rs 20,000, the court said that the Trinamool state secretary should co-operate with the ED officials when the ED calls for an investigation.

The ED had filed a chargesheet against Kunal Ghosh in the Sarada case last month. He surrendered and applied to the court for bail. His move was opposed by the ED. ED’s lawyer questioned the ‘influential’ theory.

Although Kunal Ghosh’s lawyer told the court that he was not influential, he was a familiar face. There is no question of breaking the bail conditions. Evidence is presented, the cooperation has been going on for eight years. After answering the question, the court granted interim bail on a bond of Tk 20,000.

On bail, Kunal Ghosh said, “He has been cooperating with the ED in this case since October 2013. After eight years, the investigating agency has suddenly issued a chargesheet against me. Earlier, the ED had given chargesheets in the name of many people. I surrendered in court. I applied for bail. The court granted it. “

His lawyer Ayon Chakraborty said the ED had filed a chargesheet against Kunal Ghosh in court on August 28. He was ordered to appear in court on September 20. Earlier, Kunalbabu had appeared in court. We are informed that all kinds of cooperation will be given in the investigation.
