#Kolkata: Wednesday was the 57th founding day of Chhatra Sangram. However, this day started a little differently. The organization’s mouthpiece Foundation Day celebrations began at the Gyan Mancha in central Kolkata in memory of the late musician KK. An event is held with the artist. Then the discussion meeting started. Commemorative speech by Anil Biswas, the first editor of the newspaper, the mouthpiece of the West Bengal State Committee of the Students Federation of India. This year’s theme in the lecture was ’75 of Independence, Alternative Path, Like Alternative ‘. Former general secretaries of the organization Nilotpal Basu and Sujan Chakraborty were present to participate in the discussion.

At the same time present general secretary Mayukh Biswas and state secretary Srijan Bhattacharya were also present. The state president of the organization Pratik Ur Rahman presided over the function. The history of the country tends to change. Nilotpal Basu blamed the rise of communal politics and the role of BJP and RSS behind it. Sujan Chakraborty highlighted the role of students in defending democracy and constitution.

Mayukh Biswas, general secretary of the organization, said, “Students are the biggest problem as a result of the current government’s education policy. The SFI has been protesting against this. The government has been forced to take many steps in the interest of education. The movement will continue. “

Film director Anik Dutt was present on the occasion. He was given a reception on behalf of the organization. Books ‘Tradition’ and ‘Heritage’ containing informative history of the student movement were republished. At the same time, the cover of the first issue of the 56th year of Chhatra Sangram was published on this stage. Sharifa Khatun, the first student from Malda, was awarded the ‘Sudipta Smarak’ award in the Madrasa examination. According to the organization, the student has been rewarded for her success in the Madrasa examination despite being in dire financial straits.
