Airtel Payments Bank Deploys 24×7 Banking Kiosk at Gangasagar Mela 2026 to Support Pilgrims’ On-Ground Banking Needs
Airtel Payments Bank, one of India’s fastest-growing digital banks, has set up a 24×7 banking kiosk at Gangasagar Mela 2026 to provide seamless access to essential banking services for millions of pilgrims attending one of the country’s largest spiritual gatherings at Sagar Island, South 24 Parganas.
Gangasagar Mela attracts millions of devotees from across India and neighboring countries for the sacred dip at the confluence of the River Ganges and the Bay of Bengal, and to seek blessings at the revered Kapil Muni Temple.
Airtel Payments Bank’s kiosk will allow the pilgrims to withdraw money from Aadhaar-linked bank accounts using biometric authentication, ensuring secure and hassle-free transactions during the pilgrimage. Strategically located near the Kapil Muni Ashram, the main mela venue, and approximately 500 meters from the seashore, where pilgrims gather for the holy dip, the kiosk ensures easy and timely access to banking services during the event.
