Vijaypat Singhania passes away: The former chairman of Raymond, Vijaypat Singhania, has passed away in Mumbai. The demise news was shared by his son Gautam Singhania on X with grief and sorrow. Vijayapat Singhania was 87 years old and passed away in Mumbai peacefully. The last rites of Singhania will be performed in Mumbai on Sunday, i.e., March 29.

The Raymond Group rose to great heights after Vijaypat Singhania resumed the leadership in 1980. He took the group to soaring heights. In 1988, he conducted solo piloting of a microlight aircraft all the way from London to Ahmedabad. This grand journey was almost 9,000 kilometres long, and this is when everyone in the world became familiar with his admiration for skies.Later, he made a world record for the highest flight ever in a hot air balloon at a grand altitude of 69,852 feet.
