ISIS Terrorists Arrested: Four ISIS terrorists, all of whom are Sri Lankan nationals, have been arrested by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The police said that all the ISIS terrorists are Sri Lankan citizens while the ATS has started investigating the case. Reports say that the ATS has taken the terrorists to a secret location to get a confession about the reason behind their arrival in Ahmedabad.
According to the initial investigations, they traveled from Sri Lanka to Ahmedabad via Chennai.
They were arrested by the Gujarat ATS before they could reach their intended target and they were waiting for orders from their handlers in Pakistan.
The sources say that weapons were to be delivered to them separately adding that the ATS has recovered encrypted chats from their phones.
Security has been heightened across the city.
Incidentally, the four have been arrested just ahead of the arrival of three IPL teams at the Ahmedabad Airport for the qualifier and eliminator games to be played in the ongoing tournament.
