IIT Kharagpur Wins BCC&I–GNIT Technology Quiz 2026

A team comprising of Samyak Sheersh and Aditya Pal from IIT Kharagpur emerged as the winner of the 15th edition of the BCC&I–GNIT Technology Quiz – Inter College Quiz Fest 2026, held at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, a JIS Group Educational Initiative.

The second place was jointly secured by Arun Majumder from GNIT and Sneha Santra from Techno Bengal Institute of Technology, while the third position was also claimed by another team from IIT Kharagpur.

The quiz witnessed participation from over 60 colleges and universities across West Bengal, with students demonstrating impressive knowledge of technology, current affairs, and analytical reasoning. The event was supported by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) as the technical co-partner.

Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Pro-Chancellor, JIS University, Dr. Swarup Kumar Mitra, Principal, GNIT; Mr. Surojit Roy, Co-founder & Head of Business Strategy, Bharat Plus AI; Mr. Abhishake De Sarkar, Career Coach, Author & CEO of Advent Education & Mr. Sambit Dasgupta, Deputy Director, BCC&I were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Simarpreet Singh said, “The Technology Quiz goes beyond competition.
