Kolkata Joins KRAFTON India’s National Campus Tour

KRAFTON India is set to bring its nationwide College Campus Tour to Netaji Subhash Engineering College on February 27–28, marking a major moment for Kolkata’s growing Esports ecosystem. As part of the second edition of its flagship grassroots initiative, the activation integrates structured tournaments into AVENI, offering students their first experience of organized competitive gaming.Participants will compete in BGMI and Real Cricket under standardized formats with professional oversight. Complete with official rules, live commentary, and formal recognition for top performers, the tournaments are designed to mirror the structure and intensity of professional Esports competition.Kolkata is one stop in a rapidly expanding national program now spanning 128 colleges. The first edition engaged over 50,000 students, scaling from an initial plan of 64 colleges to 85 before expanding further this year—underscoring rising demand for credible college-level competitive platforms, particularly beyond metro cities.Winning teams will advance to zonal competitions and potentially qualify for higher-tier tournaments within KRAFTON India’s ecosystem, including pathways to BGIS and BMPS—creating a defined progression route into India’s professional Esports circuit.Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said: *”What we’re seeing across campuses is a clear appetite for serious competition and recognition.
