Mumbai Local Train Update: These Routes Will Remain Affected Due To Mega and Jumbo Block Today

Mumbai: In a bid to carry out maintenance work and infrastructure upkeep for safety purposes, Mumbai local train services will be affected on Sunday as the Western Railway (WR) has announced a Jumbo Block and Central Railway (CR) have announced a mega block for November 27. In an official statement, the WR said, “To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, five hours jumbo block will be taken on Up and Down slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm on November 27.

CPRO, WR, Sumit Thakur said, during the block period, all slow line trains will be operated on fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. Due to this, some Up and Down suburban trains will remain cancelled. “Detailed information to it will be available with concerned station masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements,” it said.

CENTRAL LINE

Matunga – Mulund Up and Dn Fast Lines (11.05 am – 3.55 pm)

Dn fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.25 am to 3.35 pm will be diverted o­n Dn slow line between Matunga and Mulund halting at stations as per their respective schedule. Fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted o­n Dn fast line after Mulund and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast services leaving Thane from 10.50 am to 3.46 pm will be diverted o­n Up slow line between Mulund and Matunga halting at stations as per their respective schedule. Further these Up fast services will be re-diverted o­n Up fast line and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

HARBOUR LINE

CSMT Mumbai – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn Harbour Line (11.40 am – 4.40 pm) and

Chunabhatti / Bandra – CSMT Mumbai Up Harbour Line (11.10 am – 4.10 pm)

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/ Vadala Road from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Goregaon/ Bandra from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

WESTERN LINE

Churchgate – Mumbai Central Up and Dn Slow Lines (10.35 am – 03.35 pm)

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, five hours jumbo block will be taken o­n Up and Dn slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations from 10:35 hrs to 15:35 hrs o­n Sunday, 27th November, 2022.

During the block period, all slow line trains will be operated o­n fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. Due to this, some Up and Dn suburban trains will remain cancelled.

Closure of North Side Landing/Staircase of Middle Foot Over Bridge near West Booking office at Bandra station we.f. 29th November, 2022 To 23rd December 2022 : Western Railway announced that in connection with the conservation and restoration of Bandra Station, the North Side landing/staircase of middle Foot Over Bridge near west side booking office at Bandra Suburban Station will be closed from 29th November, 2022 to 23rd December 2022. The south landing/staircase of this bridge will remain open for benefit of passengers. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted by WR.
