Comedian Rajiv Thakur is mourning the death of his fatherThe actor-comedian was travelling to Indore for a scheduled show with Krushna Abhishek when he received the news of his father’s passingFollowing the bereavement, Rajiv could not attend the event, and the show has now been postponed. Krushna, who had already reached Indore, informed fans about the unfortunate news and said the event would be rescheduled.
Krushna Abhishek announces Rajiv Thakur’s absence from show
In a video shared by the event management company, Krushna said Rajiv was supposed to perform with him in Indore but lost his father while they were travelling for the event. “There’s a little sad news that I want to share with you allJust as we were taking off for Indore, Rajiv Thakur, who was supposed to perform with me in Indore tomorrow, lost his father,” Krushna said.
He also expressed his condolences and spoke about the impact of the loss on Rajiv and everyone close to him. “This is very sad news for him, me and the entire fraternity,” he said.
Krushna then informed people who had purchased tickets that the show would not take place as planned and would be rescheduled. “So, my request is that the people who have taken the tickets, I request them that we are rescheduling this show and we will do it on some other date,” he added.
Event postponed, ticket money to be refunded
The event management company also shared a statement on social media, apologising to those who had booked tickets and confirming that the event has been postponed“A Heartfelt ApologyWith a heavy heart, we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience caused to everyone who booked tickets for the eventDue to unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to postpone the eventWe will be refunding the full ticket amount to everyone who has booked their seats.”
“We promise to come back soon with new dates and reschedule this eventThank you for your love, support, patience and understandingIt truly means the world to usWe are sorryWe are gratefulAnd we’ll be back soon,” the statement added.
Rajiv has not yet issued a statement or spoken publicly about his father’s death.
