Veteran actor and filmmaker Nana Patekar received a state funeral on Thursday evening following his Passing away earlier in the day at his farmhouse in Pune’s Donje villageHe passed away due to a severe cardiac arrest at his home in Goa at the age of 75According to hospital sources, the actor was declared dead at 5:20 am.

The doctors tried to revive him for almost 45 minutes after he was brought in, but there was no response, they said.

Nana Patekar was one of the prominent actors in Hindi and Marathi cinemaHe made his acting debut with the 1978 film ‘Gaman’ and went on to earn praise for his performances in films including ‘Parinda’, ‘Prahar’, ‘Angaar’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Tiranga’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’.
