Madhya Pradesh has tweaked the rules to give a boost to talented students in its government schoolsIf you want to benefit from the scheme, you will now need to meet the conditions below.
- The applicant must be a regular student of Government Higher Secondary School of MP School Education Department or Tribal Affairs Department.
- Students must have secured at least 70 percent marks in the 12th board examination (previously the eligibility limit was 60 percent).
- The student must have secured first position in the 12th examination in his/her respective government school.
- The exam must have been passed in the first attemptStudents appearing for supplementary or re-examinations are not eligible.
- This scheme is not limited to girls only, but both meritorious sons and daughters are being given equal benefits.
How to check your name on Vimarsh portal
If you have topped your school in the 12th examination, then you can check your name in the eligibility list by following some steps given below.
- First of all open the official Vimarsh portal of the Education Department vimarsh.mp.gov.in.
- Click on the Chief Minister Girl and Boy Scooty Scheme Online Registration Report or Eligibility List link given on the homepage.
- Select your district name and then your school name from the dropdown menu.
- On clicking the Submit button, the complete merit list of selected students of your school will appear on the screen.
If you topped your school and your name isn’t on the portal’s list, there’s no need to worryGive it some time for the list to be updated, or speak to your school principal as soon as possible to confirm your details.
How much amount will be available for e-scooter and petrol scooter
Selected students get to pick the kind of vehicle they want, and the money goes straight into their bank accountsAnyone going for an electric scooter will have the government pay the initial cost of Rs 1.20 lakh, along with RTO registration and the first year’s insuranceThose who prefer a petrol scooter will get Rs 90,000 sent directly to their Aadhaar-linked accounts through DBT.
