Telangana: Two killed, 9 injured after reactor explodes at pharmaceutical company, second incident in same facility

Two workers were killed and nine others were injured after a reactor exploded at a pharmaceutical company in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districtThe blast took place late Friday night at a pharma unit in Pochampally mandalThe incident also caused a fire at the facility when workers were reportedly changing shifts.

According to a police official, two workers died in the incidentNine others were injured, including two who suffered burns on more than half of their bodiesThe remaining seven workers sustained minor injuriesThe injured workers were taken to different hospitals for treatment.

Firefighters later brought the blaze under control.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation to determine what caused the reactor blast.
