DDCA confirms first T20I will go ahead
After discussions with the authorities, the DDCA issued a clear statement late on Thursday evening, confirming that the necessary support had been assured and the fixture would remain unchanged.
“India–Afghanistan 1st T20I on 13 September at Arun Jaitley Stadium will go ahead as scheduledFollowing a meeting with Delhi Traffic Police, DDCA has been assured of all necessary support and arrangements,” the DDCA said in a social media post.
The confirmation ends the brief period of uncertainty surrounding the matchCricket fans in Delhi can now look forward to the series beginning on time.
