Lucknow Super Giants youngster Mukul Choudhary has made it clear that he wants to answer questions about his game with performances on the fieldThe 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has had a difficult domestic season, with injuries and selection decisions affecting his opportunities, but he remains focused on improving his batting.

“When I joined, there was an open slot in the middle orderOur batting coach was Lance Klusener and he told me directly: ‘For you, the practice matches are your selection matchesPlay them with that mindset if you want to make the final XI.’ I was the highest run-scorer across all three practice matches, even won one game single-handedlyThat paved my way into the side, which is no small feat for an uncapped player,” he said.
Mukul recalled how Pant noticed that he was batting too defensively and advised him to back his ability rather than worry about selection.
The youngster also spoke about the importance of learning from experienced people around himHe believes advice from senior players can help him improve, but his performances will ultimately decide how far he goes.
