The India captain was supported brilliantly by Ishan Kishan, who remained unbeaten on 37 as the pair added 137 runs for the third wicketEarlier, debutant Naman Dhir made an instant impact with three wickets as India restricted West Indies to 171.

Iyer turns chase into a one-man show

India did not get off to the best start while chasingAbhishek Sharma was dismissed for 21 in the third over, with Shimron Hetmyer taking a fine diving catch at long-off off Roston Chase.

Sanju Samson followed soon after for 11Akeal Hosein caught him off his own bowling after Samson sliced a short delivery back towards the bowler.

With India reduced to 35 for two inside four overs, Iyer walked in and completely changed the mood of the chase.
