IND vs SL 2026 2nd Test: Dhruv Jurel became the 2nd Indian centurion of the Indian innings on Day 2 of the 2nd Test vs Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground in Colombo on MondayJurel completed his 2nd Test century in his 12th Test with a single off Asitha Fernando off 171 balls in the final session on second day which was interrupted by rain.

The Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper also became only the second Indian batter after all-rounder Hardik Pandya to complete a hundred from No7 or lower in Sri LankaPandya had scored 108 against Pallekelle back in 2017.

Jurel celebrated reaching a century with a six off Fernando to finish off the 136th over of the innings as Indians continued their march towards 500 in the first inningsThe last Indian batter to score a century from No7 or lower was all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who notched up 114 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in December 2024.
