After the Galle, India need to win at least 7 out of their remaining 8 Tests in WTC 2025-27 cycleShubman Gill and Team India will take on New Zealand in a two-match Test series away from home starting in October after they end their commitments in Sri Lanka.

They will round off their WTC 2025-27 cycle with a massive five-match Test series at home against Australia next year for the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT)If India can win 7 and lose only 2 games out of 9 since the start of Sri Lanka tour, their PCT will rise to 62.96.

But if they win 8 games and lose only 1, their PCT will move up to 68.52The two finalists in the WTC 2023-25 cycle had PCT of 69.44 and 67.54 respectively.
