Rooted in realism and timeless values, Kamala Nivas is a poignant portrait of lifelong dreams, silent sacrifices and everyday struggles faced with dignity and grace.
A Zee Bangla in‑house fiction and a reimagining of Laxmi Nivas, Kamala Nivas tells the story of a couple whose greatest aspiration is not wealth or status, but the simple yet powerful dream of owning a home and seeing their daughters get married . As generations coexist under one roof, values are questioned, intentions are misunderstood, and relationships are tested—revealing how love, when stretched to its limits, can either fracture or endure.
At the heart of the narrative is Kamala, portrayed by Sohini Sen Gupta – a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and the moral backbone of the family. Draped in simple cotton sarees and guided by deep faith, Kamala embodies quiet strength and unwavering integrity. Gentle in her ways yet fearless in the face of injustice, she dreams silently of weddings for her daughters filled with joy.
Standing beside her is Shrinibas, essayed by Debshankar Halder – a skilled mechanic and a man of unshakeable principles.
