Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mumbai home Mannat is getting a major makeoverThe sea-facing Bandra bungalow is currently being renovated, with additional floors being added to its rear portionWhile the work continues, Shah Rukh and his family have temporarily moved to luxury apartments in nearby Pali Hill. The renovation is being handled by Shri Lotus Developers and Realty, founded by filmmaker and producer Anand PanditSpeaking about the project, Pandit told The Indian Express, “We’re adding a few floors to the back portion of Mannat.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s family moves to Pali Hill
Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri Khan and their children Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan are currently staying in luxury duplex apartments at Puja Casa in Pali Hill, BandraIt is a luxury residential building owned by the Bhagnani family (including producer Vashu Bhagnani, actor Jackky Bhagnani, and producer Deepshikha Deshmukh).
Gauri, a producer and interior designer, is overseeing the family’s temporary stay while the renovation work at Mannat continues.
Shah Rukh has also applied for permission to add two floors to MannatThe expansion is expected to increase the property’s total built-up area by 616.02 square metres and cost around Rs 25 crore.
Since Mannat is a heritage property and is located close to the sea, the actor has sought approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority for the proposed extension.
How Much Is Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Worth?

Another Shah Rukh Khan property is being redeveloped
Interestingly, Mannat is not the only Shah Rukh-owned property being worked on by Anand Pandit’s companyThe developer is also redeveloping another apartment owned by the actor in Bandra. The property holds special significance for Shah Rukh as it was his first home in MumbaiHe bought the 4BHK apartment at Shree Amrit Society after moving to Mumbai from Delhi and marrying Gauri in 1991.
Even after moving into Mannat in 2001, Shah Rukh continued to own the apartment and later rented it out.
Shah Rukh wanted Anand Pandit’s company to redevelop his first home
Anand Pandit revealed that he was interested in redeveloping the property before he even knew that it belonged to Shah Rukh. “When we were building it, I didn’t have an ideaThough Shah Rukh sir did tell me about it once, he didn’t mention the name of the building,” Pandit said.
The connection came up during a conversation about redevelopment projects around Carter Road in BandraWhen Pandit mentioned Shree Amrit Society, Shah Rukh immediately recognised the name and told him that the apartment was the first property he had purchased in Mumbai.
According to Pandit, Shah Rukh was keen for his company to take up the redevelopment. “I should call up the chairperson of the society, and tell them to give the property only to Lotus,” Shah Rukh told him.
Pandit said learning about Shah Rukh’s connection to the property made the project even more special. “He was very excited about itMy excitement got increased a little bit because of Shah Rukh sir’s apartmentBut I loved that place because the size and location of the project are so good,” he said.

The redeveloped 4BHK apartment is expected to be ready by 2027According to a Hindustan Times report, the property will reportedly have 155% additional area spread across 2,800 square feet. At an expected rate of Rs 1.50 lakh per square foot, the apartment could be worth around Rs 42 crore after redevelopment.
