Dhoni, on the other hand, had tallied 2496 runs in away Tests while, Farokh Engineer (1,209), Syed Kirmani (1,109) and Kiran More (901) are other top Indian wicketkeepers with most runs away from home.
Pant has also become the wicketkeeper with 2nd highest tally of runs in away Tests, surpassing former South Africa stumper Mark Boucher, who had 2514 runs at an average of 27.03The 28-year-old needs only 99 more runs to snatch the world record from former Australia stumper Adam Gilchrist, who scored 2634 runs in away games at an average of 49.69.
The former Lucknow Super Giants captain also surpassed Boucher’s tally of most Test fifties away from homePant now has 17 fifties as compared to Boucher’s 16Gilchrist also holds this record with 19 fifties notched up away from home while Dhoni is in 2nd place with 19 fifties as well along with former England stumper Alan Knott.

India were 431 for 7 in 115 overs, few overs after lunch with Dhruv Jurel batting on 66 while all-rounder Manav Suthar was with him in the middle on 5.
