Asim addressed the controversy through a lengthy note shared on InstagramAlthough he did not name Himanshi directly, he appeared to be responding to her recent comments about religion and their relationshipHe strongly denied asking her to convert and said he had never asked anyone to change their religionAsim also brought up her fitness journey while making a pointed comment about her appearance.
Asim also addressed claims and discussions around his professional lifeHe said his career did not depend on another person and questioned the importance being placed on money.
“When it came to my career, it never needed anyone to build it for me or claim credit for what they never contributedWho has more money and who has less? Well, if you really want to know, the bank statements can settle thatBut money was never the measure of characterCharacter is how far you’re willing to fall when you’re desperate for attention, relevance, or a few more views,” Asim added.

Asim also directed his criticism towards Paras Chhabra who hosted the conversation in which Himanshi discussed her past relationshipTaking a personal swipe at Paras he wrote, “And to the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession brother, respectfully, I’d suggest spending a little less time discussing other people’s lives and a little more time in the gym.”

The controversy began after Himanshi discussed reports that she had considered changing her religion while dating AsimDuring a podcast session with Paras Chhabra, she clarified that she would not describe the situation as conversionHimanshi said her former partner had spoken to her about the positive aspects of his religion and wanted her to understand and accept themShe said she was not comfortable with that idea.
