Weather Forecast August 24: Monsoon activity has intensified in several states, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rain in the Northeast, central India, eastern India and southern IndiaSeveral parts of the country are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds on Monday, while Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka will witness strong surface winds tomorrowStates like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Vidarbha are expected to receive monsoon downpour at isolated places tomorrow.
Heavy Rain Warning
According to IMD, Odisha may witness heavy to very heavy showers at isolated places on MondayMonsoon activities such as thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected over parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Scattered rain, thunderstorms with gusty winds are also expected over Lakshadweep, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal and SikkimSimilar weather conditions are possible in Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Kerala.
