Weather Forecast: Monsoon activity has intensified across several parts of India in recent daysIndian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms for several states with isolated downpours in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Uttarakhand on TuesdayLightning and gusty winds are also possible in a few parts.
Delhi Weather
A monsoon downpour with gusty winds and thunderstorms lashed parts of Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, bringing respite from sweltering humidityHowever, the capital city’s weather is expected to turn dry on Tuesday, as the IMD has forecast little to no rain for the rest of the weekSome areas are expected to witness intense rainfall tomorrow, while monsoon showers are expected to remain active over central, eastern, and northeastern India over the next few days.
On Tuesday, very light rain is expected in some part of the capital city during the afternoonOn Wednesday, very light to light rain is expected before noonFrom Thursday to Sunday, there will be no rain, however, partly cloudy skies likely to persist.
Maharashtra Weather
According to IMD, a low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal and under its influence, heavy rain is expected in East Vidarbha, Marathwada and the GhatsThe weather department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for these areasLight to moderate rain showers are expected in the remaining parts of the state.
Madhya Pradesh Weather
The weather department has predicted isolated very heavy rain in several districts, including Dindori, Balaghat, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Damoh and SagarMonsoon showers accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds are also expected in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions.
Kerala Weather
The IMD has issued rain alert for three districts for tomorrow while unsettled weather is expected to continue across the southern stateThe forecast comes at the time when the state enters the Onam festival period.
Odisha Weather
IMD has predicted heavy rain across several districts of Odisha until August 26Due to the prevailing weather system, monsoon activity is likely to persist in several areas.
Uttarakhand Weather
According to the weather department, isolated heavy rainfall is expected parts of the hill state until August 28Intense showers are possible in several parts during this period.
Eastern And Northeastern Weathers
Widespread showers are likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Odisha, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim until August 28.Jharkhand is also likely to receive fairly widespread rain through August 28, while Bihar is expected to see similar rainfall activity on August 25 and 26.
