The top 3 spots of the Indian Premier League 2026 is locked as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished the league campaign at the summit of the points table despite losing their last league encounter yesterday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 55 runs. Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans, who defeated the Chennai Super Kings recently, will take on RCB in qualifier 1 whereas SRH are still awaiting for their opponents for Eliminator 1.

Tonight in match number 68, the Punjab Kings will lock horns with bottom-sided Lucknow Super Giants in what is going to be both the team’s last league stage match. Punjab, who are currently on a losing streak of 6 matches straight, will be in a do-or-die situation in terms of their hopes for a top 4 finish but there’s an implication to it.

Even if Shreyas Iyer and co grab all 2 points tonight, which will take them to 15 points, it still might not be enough as the Rajasthan Royals, if they beat the Mumbai Indians in their last league outing, will attain the 16-point mark and go through to the play-offs.

The Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals still maintain a slim chance of going through but all of their hard work could go in vain if Rajasthan beats Mumbai in tomorrow’s double header in the afternoon with KKR taking on DC in the evening.
